Palermo and Monreale Excursion

Itinerary

During our city tour by car we will see Arab-Norman buildings, baroque squares and churches, Spanish aristocratic palaces etc. We start with Palermo's 'First Avenue', the Via Libertà, where you can see the most elegant shops in town. Then we pass by two wonderful buildings in neoclassical style: the Politeama theatre and the Opera house. Later we will see the enormous Cathedral; the famous 'Quattro Canti'; the city hall with the wonderful marble Pretoria fountain. After our panoramic city tour we will head to Monreale to visit the wonderful Norman Cathedral famous for its mosaics and recently included in the Unesco Heritage list.

Cefalù Tour

Itinerary

Cefalù is located 78 km west from Palermo. We will drive along the coast and get great views of the picturesque Madonie Mountains. In Cefalù we will visit the famous Norman Cathedral from the 12th century with its marvellous Byzantine mosaics. After a relaxed stroll through the picturesque medieval town, where we also see the so-called 'Arab washing house', we will have the time if you wish for a lunch in a local restaurant.

Meeting Location & Tour Duration

Meeting location: I can pick you up either at your hotel in Palermo or at the

 

Cruise Terminal. Please inquiry for pick up from different locations.

End location: Same as pick up.
